The Planar® lens is the most successful camera lens design ever created. This nearly symmetrical layout provides the lens designer with numerous means to correct aberrations extraordinarily well, even for wide open apertures. The ideal basis for high-performance lenses with great color correction, high speed, flat image plane (this is where the name comes from) and low distortion. The Planar® lens design is the basis for nearly all professional ’workhorse’ lenses on earth and in space today.
This latter ‘CF’ lens has a Prontor shutter with a T* anti-reflection coating.

Condition details:
Cosmetic: Almost no wear to the exterior. All the painted lettering is intact, which very often worn away. The black filter ring is largely unmarked. These suggest very light use.
Optical: The optics are excellent – free from all scratches, debris and fungus.
Mechanical: Shutter speeds are all working and accurate. Aperture blades are fast and free from oil.
Dust/Haze: Almost perfect. A tiny amount of internal dust/haze, which is visible when shine a bright light through the lens. Image will not be affected.
