Fax-Ortho-Nikkor lens were design for ultra accurate magnifications of patterns and drawings. They are known to have been used in the ship building industry.

Condition details:
Cosmetic: Good with some chips in the black paint including on the front ring.
Optical: Some very fine hair line scratches/cleaning marks on the front and rear of the lens. Otherwise, very good.
Mechanical: Working, aperture blades are smooth.
Dust/Haze: A moderate amount of internal dust and haze which is visible in certain light. Image is unlikely to be affected. No fungus.
Graded: Excellent
(Signs of normal use consistent with age. )
