Made between 1982 and 2001, the FM2 is an advanced semi-professional camera. It is all mechanical and will work without a battery. This is unusual as most cameras from this period have an electronically controlled shutter. The meter, though, does need a battery. Has shutter speeds upto 1/4000 second.
This is the third version of the camera:
– it has a 1/250 flash sync speed
– an ‘N’ before the serial number
– a later aluminium (non-honeycomb) shutter
Plain dioptre lens.
Cosmetic: Heavy wear with loss of black coating in places and a dent to the upper corner, near the film advance lever.
Mechanical: Shutter speeds are all working and accurate.
Electrical: No corrosion to the battery contacts. Meter is working and tested.
Light seals: Light seals are usable. They maybe sticky or slightly crumbling, but they are usable.
Cosmetic Condition: 6
(Well used. Showing signs of heavy use.)
Functional Condition: E
(Everything functioning. Major functions have recently been professionally tested.)
