    Description

    Description:
The Nikon F3 was Nikon’s first professional camera with a light meter built into the body. It is the last professional manual focus Nikon made, the later F4 having auto focus.

An excellent and durable camera. It can use all manual focus Nikon lenses, allows TTL flash metering and has an interchangable prism and viewing screen.

This is the ‘HP’ variant, with a ‘High Eyepoint’ viewfinder. The large viewfinder allows the entire image and exposure information to be viewed from one inch away, a particular advantage for wearers of glasses.
    Included:
The critically important motor drive cap is included. These are often missing!
    Condition details:
Cosmetic: Heavy wear to the exterior and loss of the black coating consistent with handling. No dents or major damage. Some corrosion around the eyepiece. Dent to the prism.
Optical: Viewfinder is clear and free of marks, debris and other imperfections.
Mechanical: The back does not push close. You need to open the release catch, while closing it. Then it is closed securely.
Electrical: No corrosion to the battery contacts. Meter is working and tested.
Light seals: Light seals are poor. They have gone very sticky or crumbled away. Upon request replacement foam can be supplied (fitting is straight forward, though can be a little fiddly), or we can recommend a firm that will replace the foam for around £35.
    Cosmetic Condition: 7

(Restorable. Minor parts missing and refinishing necessary. )

    Functional Condition: E
(Everything functioning. Major functions have recently been professionally tested.)
