The Carl Zeiss Planar T* 45mm f/2 in Contax G bayonet mount, in the champagne finish that matches the G1 and G2 bodies. The standard lens of the G system and the one most often called its best, a classic six-element Planar that is exceptionally sharp from wide open and draws with the smooth, neutral rendering the design is known for. Serial number 7801962, made in Japan. The aperture ring is marked f/2 through f/16, the focus scale runs from 0.5m to infinity, and it takes 46mm filters.
