This was the first 'automatic' wide angle lens that Nikon made. It was introduced in August 1959, shortly after the introduction of the Nikon F .
This is the third version of the lens, which has a scalloped aperture ring.
Will fit on some Nikon DSLR cameras. Depending on the model of camera, the exposure and metering maybe affected. It should not be fitted to a camera that has a non-removable AI tab.
