They are distinguishable by the trigger part, as the camera's shutter release buttons are in slightly different locations. This grip is for the 500C, 500C/M and 2000FC/M. It is designed to be held in the left hand and locked to the camera's quick attachment shoe, with the shutter then triggered from your index finger.
