The Contax G2 in champagne, the top of the G system and one of the finest autofocus rangefinders ever built. Introduced in 1996, it improved on the G1 with a much faster and more decisive autofocus, a 1/6000s top shutter speed, 4fps motor drive and a real-image finder that zooms with the lens fitted. Body serial 014916, made by Kyocera in Japan. This one carries the multi-function Contax GD-2 data back, which imprints date, time or frame data between the sprocket holes, and both the camera and data-back instruction manuals are included.
