A wide and compact lens. First introduced in 1960.
Due to the large aperture the lens data was engraved around the outside of the front lens element, rather than on an insert fitted next to the lens.
This is the third version of this lens, it has the black filter ring and scalloped aperture ring.

Rear cap.
Condition details:
Cosmetic: Heavy wear to the exterior and loss of the black coating consistent with handling. No dents or major damage.
Optical: The optics are very good. There are very minor cleaning marks or scratches. No debris or fungus.
Dust/Haze: A little internal dust and haze. This is typical and expected for a used lens of this age. Lens are not sealed units and will exchange are with the outside environment. Image will not be affected.
