The Softar filters are plastic lenses with convex diffusion elements over the face of the filter. The provide a better softening effect than most diffusers, which simply dull the lens resolution.
They provide a similar softening effect whatever aperture chosen.
They were made in three grades, I, II and III.
Condition details:
Cosmetic: Moderate wear.
Optical: Filter has cleaning marks and surface scratching. Image may be affected when not using a lens shade.
Cosmetic Condition: 6
(Well used. Showing signs of heavy use.)
Functional Condition: F
