The Softar filters are plastic lenses with convex diffusion elements over the face of the filter. The provide a better softening effect than most diffusers, which simply dull the lens resolution.
They were made in three grades, I, II and III.
Available in both chrome and black. The Chrome versions were made between 1966 and 1974, and the black versions after 1974.

Front and rear caps.
Condition details:
Cosmetic: Almost no wear to the exterior.
Optical: The optics are very good. There are very minor cleaning marks or scratches.
Cosmetic Condition: 4
(Signs of light use, but not misuse. No other cosmetic damage.)
Functional Condition: E
(Everything functioning. Major functions have recently been professionally tested.)
