‘A12N’ is not a factory designation, but one that is used to distinguish between the early and later versions of the A12 back.
In 1984 a number of changes were made to improve then:
– the film insert has a single steel arm to retain both spools
– the release button has a ’12’ on it
– ‘made in Sweden by Victor Hasselblad’ was added to the side plate
– film speed reminder is now a slot, rather than a fold down door which was often damaged
In 1997 a further change was made that is very noticeable and somewhat overdue – a built in darkslide holder was added!
Included:
The insert does not have a serial number, so we cannot tell if it is matching. They were often removed if Hasselblad needed to replace the insert during a service of repair.
Condition details:
Cosmetic: Moderate wear.
Mechanical: Fully working. Strong and no damage.
Light seals: The light seal is light tight.
