First introduced in 1967 this lens was the first lens to have a black barrel. This lens was made in 1970, before the T* coating was introduced.

This is an very nearly equivalent viewing angle to a 'super wide' Hasselblad camera, with the 38mm Biogon lens.

It is a heavy lens and weighs nearly 1.5kg. The front lens element is particularly large and takes 104mm size filters.
