This camera body incorporates a motor for automatically advancing the film, cocking the shutter and returning the mirror to the viewing position. The 500 EL/M is a modified 500 EL, with the facility for user interchangeable viewing screens. The EL/M was available from 1971 to 1985, when it was replaced by the EL/X.
