Hasselblad A12 Film Back 'Walter Schirra' Slide (30212). Condition - 3E [4779].
Short Description
Supplied with this back is a very rare 'Walter Schirra' darkslide. This was a specical edition item made by Hasselblad over a short period in 2002.
'A12N' is not a factory designation, but one that is used to distinguish between the early and later versions of the A12 back.
In 1984 a number of changes were made to improve then:
- the film insert has a single steel arm to retain both spools
- the release button has a '12' on it
- 'made in Sweden by Victor Hasselblad' was added to the side plate
- film speed reminder is now a slot, rather than a fold down door which was often damaged
In 1997 a further change was made that is very noticeable and somewhat overdue - a built in darkslide holder was added!
