Designed as four-element, three-component systems, they give brilliant pictures
in full, natural color. Their carefully balanced correction ensures outstanding
image quality. As a result, reasonably priced and versatile Xenar lenses are
essential elements for any professional photographer.
Xenar lenses are 4 element "Tessar type" lenses, originally introduced
in in 1919. They offer good image quality in a compact lens with coverage of
60-62°. This classic design stood the test of time and was produced until
the late 1990's.
