    A very early example of this lens. It is from the first batch and is the 36th lens made! The first serial number is 4229644, compared to this lens’s serial 4229680.

    First introduced in to the market in 1967 this lens was the first lens to have a black barrel. This lens was made in 1970, before the T* coating was introduced. This is an very nearly equivalent viewing angle to a ‘super wide’ Hasselblad camera, with the 38mm Biogon lens.

    It is a heavy lens and weighs nearly 1.5kg. The front lens element is particularly large and takes 104mm size filters.

    This item has just been professionally serviced. It is supplied with an extended six month warranty.

    Condition details:
    Included (might not be in photographs): Front and rear caps.
    Cosmetic: Very light wear.
    Optical: The optics are very good. Some cleaning marks to the front elements.
    Mechanical: Shutter speeds are all working and accurate. Self timer (yes one is inside the lens!) is working. Aperture blades are fast and free from oil.
    Dust/Haze: A little internal dust and haze. This is typical and expected for a used lens of this age. Lens are not sealed units and will exchange are with the outside environment. Image will not be affected.
    Graded: Like New Minus
    (Close inspection reveals slight signs of wear. )
