A rare lens. It is the first variant of the AI lens, with a wider focusing ring with three rows of rubbers grips.
This AI lens was made from 1977.It has a built in lens hood, an aperture down to f32 and will focus down to 1.3m. This item has just been professionally serviced. It is supplied with an extended six month warranty.
A great lens by Nikon, particularly good for nature photographers. Without an extension tube, the focusing ranges from infinity to 47cm and has a 1:2 reproduction ratio. Maximum aperture is f32, an important consideration when using with a ring flash.
This lens is in as good condition as you could expect. It looks to have never been used. This is the slightly earlier AI version with does not have colourings on the chrome depth of field ring.
Will fit on all Nikon DSLR cameras. Depending on the model of camera, the exposure and metering maybe affected.
